Many people feel that the harder they brush their teeth the cleaner they will be. It’s not true, and you may be doing more damage then you know. When you “scrub” your teeth your are removing a protective layer of enamel and gum tissue, which can lead to sensitivity.

- Use a soft-bristled toothbrush
- Brush gently in a circular motion at a 45-degree angle
- Use a desensitizing toothpaste
- Avoid highly acidic foods and beverages
